School librarians from all of Massachusetts and New England gathered at University of Massachsuetts, Amherst on March 1 and 2 for the annual conference. Librarians shared their innovative uses of tools and technologies with students. Here are some highlights.
There were many authors in attendance and books discussed. The two stand-out titles that I ran out and bought immediately are:
Use Joomag to create magazines. Offers a range of pre-formatted options.
TouchCast is an easy-to-use video app for the iPad with editing options.
Use DoInk to create videos and add backgrounds using green screen technology.
Blogging for educators to use with students. Many built-in features for sharing and controlling access.
Download X-Ray Goggles and not only see the code behind a selected web page but make changes to the code and see the results on the website.
