"Wolf reading" from Customer Service Wolf
Looking for something to read? Books to recommend to students? Check out the Keefe Library's newest endeavor, two book review blogs! Wolfpack Reads! features books chosen, read, and reviewed by actual BLS students: our library praefects. They're an eclectic and aspirational bunch and have so far focused on poetry, classics, dystopian fiction and contemporary literature. They rate the books (out of five stars), provide a cover shot, and fill us in on what worked or didn't. A provided ISBN and title/author information makes it easy to search for the book at your local library branch or even buy a copy.
Meanwhile, Susan Harari (Keefe librarian) has started her own blog with book recommendations she thinks students in grades 7-12 will enjoy, or for parents and teachers looking for titles to suggest. Her selections include nonfiction and fiction: titles that are specifically aimed at this age group, but also adult titles of interest to teen readers. You can access her blog here: Outside of a Dog. If you'd like to contribute an entry as a guest, email Susan at sharari@bostonpublicschools.org. Please sign up to follow our blogs and get new reviews delivered directly to you.
