Bread Baking for Beginners by Bonnie Ohara – 5/5 stars

Published in 2018 by Callisto Publishing

Genre: Cookbook

Reviewer: Catherine V., Class II

Bread! a genuine vital component in pizza, breakfast foods, sandwiches, and even desserts. For anyone who bakes, this cookbook is the best place to start learning how to make bread. Beginning with her personal culinary journey, Bonnie Ohara discusses what bread means to her. Ohara provides comprehensive information on various types of bread, essential terminology, equipment, the procedure, ingredients and how they are used. This cookbook shows you how to make flavored, enriched, multi-grained, whole-grained, knead-free, and even how to make your own sourdough starter and pre-ferment. Given the detailed recipes, photos, and information on common mistakes (with solutions), you are bound to create some beautiful bread. I recommend this cookbook to any aspiring baker who wants to get into bread making. I invite you to go down to the library and give one of Ohara’s recipes a try!
