What is WeVideo?

WeVideo is browser-based movie editing software. Watch this video for a quick introduction. Benefits include:

  • Edit from any desktop or laptop.
  • Collaborate on group projects.
  • Add music, video or stills from large WeVideo library.
  • Linked to your school Google account: import content directly from Google Drive, export to Google Drive or Classroom.
  • Subscription-based, paid for by the Keefe Family Foundation

Getting started

1. Go to WeVideo.

2. Choose Log in (We have already created accounts for BPS students and staff).

Sign in with Google to activate your account using your BPS credentials.

3. Select student or teacher from the drop-down menu.
4. You're ready to create!

  • For more advanced instructions, visit Wevideo Academy and scroll down to Editing Features. Videos will walk you through adding and trimming media in the timeline, using moving and static text, adding/adjusting audio, working with green screens, adding transitions, and transforming/animating/color correcting/filtering images and video.
