As part of this project, students will practice finding news about current events, how to distinguish between kinds of news stories, and how to narrow searches by topic or geographic relevance. They will also begin to discuss bias in news media and how to evaluate sources for their rigor. On this page, you can find the handouts and presentations students use in this part of the process.
The 8th grade history team and the Keefe Library collaborated on the creation of this project using Guided Inquiry Design. This graphic presents the GID model and provides definitions for the phases of the process.
