Throughout the fall, students used Opposing Viewpoints, the New York Times, and the Boston Globe databases to find current events articles.
As part of this project, students will practice finding news about current events, how to distinguish between kinds of news stories, and how to narrow searches by topic or geographic relevance. They will also begin to discuss bias in news media and how to evaluate sources for their rigor. On this page, you can find the handouts and presentations students use in this part of the process.
